Prescheduling to PPoA - eTag Requirement

An issue that was brought to my attention at the GOUP Information Session in Calgary was that energy is still being prescheduled into Alberta without eTags. The Power Pool of Alberta and BC Hydro Grid Operations agree that energy being prescheduled across the BC-Alberta Intertie should be eTagged as per NERC and WSCC requirements.
The relaxed business practices that have been permitted intertie scheduling without an eTag will discontinue and we will require an eTag to preschedule energy on the BC-Alberta Intertie starting 31 October 2000 for 1 November 2000

Correction to Short-term Firm PTP EAL-BCHA

On 2 September 2000, the BCHA OASIS offered 300 MW on the EAL-BCHA path, November 2000 through to and including September 2001. That ATC however did not factor in pending long term request. The following long term requests were received prior to 2 September 2000 and therefore should be deducted from ATC unless refused: OASIS # 291566, 293825, 299499, 311267, 311566, 311567, 311570, 311729, 311798).
Consequently, the 300 MW of Short-term Firm Point-To-Point Transmission on the EAL - BCHA path was only available for November and December 2000. Transmission contract OASIS No. 311985 will be revised to reflect this.
